T. Craig Ladwig Is a Jabbering Lunatic

Think of him as your grandfater, only prone to boring lectures about "Pinkos" and "Youngsters"

I guess it wasn't enough for T. Craig Ladwig to quote noted racist, Charles Murray, in this column from today's News-Sentinel. Ladwig goes on to compare supporters of Barack Obama to Josef Stalin and Adolph Hitler:

In the recent presidential campaign, the examples of arrested development we call the Me Generation and Generation X merged with the real-time adolescence of Generation Y to blithely enlist in a political movement without definition or coherence. The result was a narcissistic mob — a democratic one, to be sure, but one oblivious to economics, history or constitutional constraint.

Let us now refer to the political writer's best friend, “the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders”:“The symptoms of Narcissistic Personality Disorder include a feeling of superiority and self-importance; a sense of entitlement; fantasies of unlimited success, fame or power; belief that he or she is special or superior in some way and can only be understood by, or should associate with others who are like them; use of others to achieve own ends; lack of empathy; seeks to hurt or destroy the objects of his or her frustration; behaves arrogantly and haughty; ‘above the law.' ”

Not to unduly alarm but both Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin were diagnosed with the disorder. A recent study shows that people who score high in narcissism tend to take charge in confused times — the narcissist, ever focused on self, being incapable of confusion.

So according to T. Craig Ladwig, if you campaigned or voted for Barack Obama, you're not only dumb, but mentally unstable. Oh yeah, you also might be an anti-semitic totalitarian communist nazi-dictator.

From reading this column it's easy to see why Obama won. Instead of recognizing how years of conservative policies have eroded the economy, Ladwig instead ignores how his politics were rejected for a reason. Instead of reflecting on reality, he calls anyone who disagrees with him an insane fascist. Maybe he was looking in the bathroom mirror when he wrote this column.

I e-mailed Mr. Ladwig and thanked him for giving a perfect description of George Bush.

I didn't get your email but in fact I was thinking of George Bush when I quoted Peggy Noonan's description of an "empty suit." You folks can read and write in stereotype but you struggle when you have to think.
