Evan Bayh's Priorities

The Junior Senator from Indiana will supposedly raise "serious objections" to Obama's agenda, namely health care reform and energy legislation.

It doesn't surprise me. First off, the Bayh family has a financial interest in preserving the status-quo on health care. Second, I don't remember Evan Bayh raising a fuss when it came to funding war in the Middle East. Always plenty of money for war and death in Evan Bayh's mind, but if we want to spend money on helping people get health care, that's a problem.

Update: It looks like Senator Bayh's efforts to scuttle any serious health care reform may be aided by the White House.

I'm convinced the Democrats could have an 80% majority and still find a way to sabotage their own agenda. Bipartisanship for the sake of bipartisanship is a complete waste of time.

If you believe in something then you fight for it. The other side doesn't care what you're doing (Souder voted against recognizing Mother's Day for Pete's sake)they will oppose it - that's what modern politics has become.

Obama fancies himself as some sort of uniter but that's just not practical. If he wants a public option then he should step on some necks until he gets it...

Wasn't George Bush a dick for being how you'd have Obama be? Is it ok when your guy does it?
